Default Borrowed hero issue?

Last night I borrowed three heroes from a character on my other account. As usual, I mapped the other character back to the guild hall after we arrived in the explorable, leaving his heroes.

One of the borrowed heroes was a healing monk set to "Avoid Combat". Yet I noticed him attacking along with the rest of us. Furthermore, he seemed to act as if he were set on "Fight" rather than "Guard", running off to stir up aggro as he pleased. I double checked the control panel for that hero on the other character to be sure it hadn't accidentally been reset somehow. But the hero was set correctly and should not have been joining the combat.

Has anyone else noticed this when borrowing heroes?

Hero controls and AI revert to default henchman AI when the hero's host player leaves the area.

Yes I've noticed a similar probelm when borrowing heroes. Even if you call target, the borrowed heroes seem to just attack whatever they want.

That would certainly explain it. I knew, of course, that they must be flagged like henchies, since there are no individual flags on the compass for the borrowed heroes. But I didn't know that their AI reverted as well.

@Wyndy: All of the healing monk heroes used by my characters carry a caster-modded spear and focus. They have no half-range or touch-range skills. (I avoid those on all caster heroes, as well as any PBAoE skills.)
